Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is a lay person who assists the Pastor and or Deacon to distribute Communion. This minister strives to lead a life of charity and prayer,has the Eucharist at the center of his/her life and is active in the community. The Greeters Ministry aims to foster a welcoming environment for all who worship by warmly greeting people at the entrances of our church.
Ladies Altar Sodality
Our Ladies Altar Sodality (LAS) attends to the care of the church. They assists in parish activities, provides flower in the Alcove to our Blessed Mother, oversees First Thursday Adoration, and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. They also help with the decor of the parish for Christmas and Easter. Membership is open to all women of our parish throughout the year.
Ministers of the Word
Lectors and Commentators are Ministers of the Word who endeavor to announce and proclaim to the gathered assembly the welcome announcements and God’s Sacred Word with a faith steeped in prayerful reading of Scripture. Ministers of the Word also seek to be of service in the faith community and participate in continuing education.
The Usher’s ministry mainly concerns itself with the orderly flow of the Eucharistic celebration by helping with seating, collecting the offering, passing out bulletins, and tidying up the church for the next Mass.
